UH made a record $1.1 million in ticket sales from the USC game

HSA Note: "The Sept. 2 game, for which 44,204 tickets were distributed, produced $1,107,000 in net revenue, the athletic department said. The figure is based on the face value of the tickets and stadium expenses and does not include premium charges for season tickets, UH said."

HSA Note: "UH said it eclipsed the previous mark of $1,090,000 set by the 2007 sellout against Washington. That game completed UH's unbeaten regular season and clinched the trip to the Sugar Bowl."

Happy that they broke their revenue record, especially since it was a Thursday game available for free on ESPN, JD said:
"I was pleased, considering the game took place on a Thursday night and was shown on national TV. I know it was good for the university and the state, with 8,000 to 10,000 USC fans here for the game. It helped put people in the seats and the (hotel) beds." (HSA)
