Knee injury ends QB Greg Alexander's Warrior career!

UH Note: "University of Hawai'i quarterback Greg Alexander will miss the remainder of the season due to major ligament damage in his left knee suffered in Wednesday's loss at Louisiana Tech. The senior will have surgery on Saturday."

Saddened to have his Warrior career end so early, and now turning his focus into graduating from UH next year, Greg Alexander said:
"I'm deeply disappointed with these results but its part of the game and I wish the team the best throughout the rest of the season. I'll be supporting my teammates from the sidelines and helping out Mo (Bryant Moniz), Brent (Rausch), and Shane (Austin) as best I can. After my surgery, I plan on concentrating on my academics so I can stay on pace to graduate next year." (UH)

About how this is a huge lose for the Warrior program, Mac said:
"This is a huge loss for our football program and I'm just heartbroken. Greg put in a great amount of hard work over the off-season and fall camp and improved his skills enough to be one of the top quarterbacks in the nation. He's a great competitor and we'll miss him immensely. All of our prayers are with him during his operation and for a full recovery." (UH)
