WP Note: "Quarterback Colt Brennan underwent successful surgery this week in Colorado to repair a torn left labrum in his hip and is expected to be back in the area today. Redskins Coach Jim Zorn said Brennan, who was placed on injured reserves two weeks ago, likely will be in attendance at Sunday's home opener against the Rams. The surgery was similar to the one Brennan underwent prior to the 2008 season on his right hip, Zorn said. He said doctors confirmed that the injury is what led to the hamstring problems that bothered Brennan late in training camp."
About how he doesn't think that Colt will abandon the team during his 3+ months of recovery time, Jim Zorn said:
"He's kind of a gym rat, so he's going to be around. It's not like, 'OK, see you guys in the summer.' He'll be around." (WP)
WP Note: "Brennan hurt his hip in the preseason opener at Baltimore and consequentially dealt with strained hamstrings during the preseason, which prompted coaches to place him on injured reserve the day before final roster cuts. "
