David Graves served as an option QB yesterday to help prepare the defense

HSB Note: "Graves, who has been running second in the quarterback lineup this week, was a prolific runner and passer at Folsom (Calif.) High while operating a spread offense. Graves was the team's leading rusher while throwing for 2,771 yards and 40 touchdowns as a senior."

About how he's supposed to look for WRs first before running the ball at UH while in high school he ran the ball more at QB, David Graves said:
"It's definitely a different game. A lot of times (in high school), I was downhill running or option running. I know I have the option to run, but I need to stay disciplined and get through all my progressions and get the ball to our athletes." (HSB)

HSB Note: "Graves said he worked with his coach in California in the offseason, concentrating on his footwork to keep his balance centered while dropping back, allowing him to quicken his release while putting more power behind the ball."
