Feature on Scott Enos and his improved FG kicking percentage this season

About how he was criticized last year for not being consistent and worked on his consistency during the offseason, Scott Enos said:
"My reputation has been inconsistency. That's what everybody had to say about me. I took it to heart, and really worked hard on it." (HSA)

About how he has gone from converting 63.2% of his FGs last season to 90% this season, Enos (who kicked nearly every day this past summer and his resistance training included connecting a large band to his right ankle while he practiced his kicking motion) said:
"Hard work has paid off." (HSA)

About how the strength Enos got from his offseason workouts improved his confidence and has shown in his 90% success, Chris Tormey said:
"He's kicking really well this year." (HSA)

HSA Note: "Enos said he managed to "play through" the hyperextended left knee of his plant leg. Last week, he said, he awakened with tightness in his lower back. He used stretching, ice treatments, electrical-stimulation therapy and massages to ease the discomfort. He kicked two field goals against Louisiana Tech."

About working extra hard to overcome the stereotype people have about kickers, Enos said:
"You know how everyone views kickers. That's the stereotype. When I hear people talk about kickers, being a kicker myself, I feel I know how people view kickers. That's why I try to make the extra effort, like going to the weight room, doing extra stuff to show people I care." (HSA)
