Dave Aranda criticized UH's missed tackles and breakdowns in the Colorado game

Unhappy with how they lost the game, defensive coordinator Dave Aranda said:
"What really puts a bad taste in my mouth is, one, losing the game and, two, the last two touchdowns that were given up. Those were really kind of inexcusable things." (HSA)

HSA Note: "Assignment breakdowns resulted in scoring passes of 73 and 23 yards to turn a 17-13 UH deficit into a rout."

About how they didn't tackle well during Colorado's 2 TD drives (where they got 113 of their 252 rushing yards in the game) to start the second half, Aranda said:
"Our tackling wasn't good in those first two drives." (HSA)

About their missed assignments in the Colorado game, Aranda said:
"I thought there would be some carryover from playing assignment football (against Army). We have to get back to that." (HSA)

About how they will eliminate the mistakes, Aranda said:
"There are plays we left on the field. That's a lesson. We'll get it fixed." (HSA)

HSA Note: "Aranda praised strongside linebacker Corey Paredes, who had 16 tackles and played every defensive snap, and nickel back John Hardy-Tuliau and weakside linebacker Aaron Brown."

About how true freshman John Hardy-Tuilau earned his first start as a Warriors and ended up with 7 tackles and a forced fumble, Dave Aranda said:
"He's a guy who's earned it." (HSA)

About how Aaron Brown had 8 tackles, including 1 for loss, Aranda said:
"He'll get better with more time." (HSA)
