Excited about the new wing for the football program, Mack said:
"This is a great day for our football program. This new wing is going to provide a great environment for our coaches and players. It's just first-class. This, along with the T.C. Ching Field is going to be a great place for coaching, teaching and learning and is going to be an outstanding recruiting tool. It shows that the University of Hawai'i is serious about having a first-class football program. You can just see it by walking through here and the people of Hawai'i have created this. We are just really excited." (UH)
UH Note: "The facility was funded by a $1.3 million appropriation from the State Legislature and construction began in January 2010. The renovation was designed by WCIT Architecture and completed by Paramount Builders."
About how the new wing will help UH recruit and help the football coaches to be a lot more efficient, JD said:
"This new wing is just absolutely beautiful and this is going to help us in recruiting and it helps us to be a lot more efficient too. There are so many people who contributed to this incredible addition. The State Legislature in particular has just been phenomenal in their support of us, both UH-Manoa and UH Athletics." (UH)
