Brysen Ginlack worked at #1 RG yesterday with Adrian Thomas moving from RG to RT

HA Note: "The switch was necessitated because right tackle Kainoa LaCount, whose left knee was in a medical brace, did not practice yesterday. LaCount had been taking reps in place of Laupepa Letuli, who is on light duty while awaiting word on his appeal for a medical hardship that will allow him to play as a sixth-year senior in 2010."

About moving from RG to RT yesterday, Adrian Thomas (who started 2 games at RT last season) said:
"The technique and setting is different (at tackle)." (HA)

HA Note: "Thomas suffered from painful back spasms in the final four weeks of the 2009 season. He said he regained his health through a vigorous rehabilitation program that relied largely on core and stretching exercises."

Thomas said that his disk problem:
"caused numbness and stuff (last year). It feels pretty good so far." (HA)

About getting used to practicing with the first team OL, Ginlack said:
"Little bit of rust. I have to work through it, get my sets down and get up to speed again working with the ones." (HSB)

HSB Note: "Ginlack, classified as a senior, started five games in the 2008 season, then sat out last year to concentrate on academics. He continued to practice, working primarily with the scout team."

About practicing with the scout team last year, Ginlack said:
"Whatever I could do to help the team. I was just glad to be on the team with my brothers. Sitting out last year, I had to dig deep, but it was what I had to do so I could come back this year." (HSB)

About being on track to graduate with a sociology degree in the fall, Ginlack said:
"It's been a long time and to know that there's only one more semester of school left, my family is so happy for me." (HSB)
