Maui News feature on the UH-Wisconsin game

MN = Maui News

About how they need to beat Wisconsin to make the Hawaii Bowl, Bryant Moniz said:
''This is our championship. One game away to get into that bowl, and Wisconsin is our last team in our way, so we've got to take care of it.'' (MN)

About going for their 7th bowl game in 8 years, Mack said:
''We're all in. his is the point where they don't need a pep talk or anything. They know what's riding on it, and they're working hard. They know how to win. We have a very big challenge, but I believe our guys are up to it.'' (MN)

About how a win could get them into a more prestigious bowl and a UH win would get them into a bowl game, Wisconsin safety Chris Maragos said:
''We have a lot to play for, they obviously have a lot to play for. It's going to be a big day for us, we need to come out there, combat their energy and go out there and give them our best shot.'' (MN)

About Wisconsin's offense, Mack said:
''They're not real tricky in what they do. They're going to run it right at us and run power (offense) and divide zone and throw the football.'' (MN)

MN Note: "The Warriors throw for 348.7 yards a game, the third-highest total in the country. Greg Salas has hauled in 103 passes for 1,559 yards this season. He is third on the school's list for receptions in a season, behind Davone Bess (108 in 2007) and Ryan Grice-Mullen (106, also in 2007), and second in receiving yards --- Ashley Lelie had 1,713 in 2001."

About the problem that UH's passing attack poses them, Wisconsin head coach Brett Bielema said:
''Offensively, when you have that much skill, it creates matchup issues. They're really buying into what they're doing. They're taking their shots down the field. Defensively they've really settled in the last couple of weeks with the game plan.'' (MN)
