Feature on Idaho's LBs that are from Hawaii

About how his Mom called him from Hawaii, Idaho LB Robert Siavii said:
"My mom said (UH quarterback Bryant Moniz's) mom told her 'please tell your son to stay off my son.' We were just kidding around, but I consider his mom my auntie." (HSB)

HSB Note: "Siavii, who graduated from Leilehua a year after Moniz, played safety and linebacker for the Mules and went up against his good friend every day in practice for three years."

About how they are 5-1 now after going 3-21 the previous 2 years, Siavii said:
"It's real different around here. Everyone has been giving us a lot of love around here, but we got one goal and one job (and that's) to make a bowl game." (HSB)

About the 49-17 loss at Aloha Stadium that Idaho had last year, LB Jojo Dickson (2007 Baldwin graduate) said:
"I saw our team pretty much take that game as a vacation. I seen the majority of the team slack off in that game and I do not want to let that happen ever again." (HSB)

HSB Note: "Dickson is second on the team with 33 tackles and has two interceptions, including one he returned for a touchdown. Siavii is fifth on the team with 28 tackles and sophomore Kama Bailey (Damien '08) is the team's leading kick returner with 295 yards."

About how they will have to get a pass rush to pressure Moniz to beat UH, Siavii said:
"I know when he gets comfortable and settles in he's going to be a great quarterback. I wish nothing but the best for him." (HSB)

About how he'll be friendly with Moniz except during the game, Siavii said:
"Before the game and after the game we'll be boys, but once that clock starts moving we've got to be enemies. So auntie, I'm sorry." (HSB)
