UNLV was happy to move the game to 8pm because they feel it will help their recruiting in Hawaii

About why the kickoff time was moved from 7pm to 8pm, UNLV head coach Mike Sanford said:
"The game this last Saturday ... that was way ahead of time, basically determined for us because it was a CBS College Sports game. The one this week originally was a 7 o'clock, and the University of Hawaii asked for it to be moved to 8. We agreed to that because it's a positive for us to be televised in Hawaii because we recruit Hawaii." (Casper Star-Tribune)
