Quotes after today's practice

About his spectacular diving one-handed catch on a bomb to end today's practice, Greg Salas said:
"It’s reaction when the ball’s in the air. If it hits my hands I just want to bring it in.” (HSB)

HA Note: "In the past 10 years, UH's four-wide offense had a basic alignment: if the ball is in the middle, there are two receivers on the left and two on the right of the formation; if it's on the right hashmark, there are three receivers to the left; if it's on the left hash, there three receivers on the right."

About how Salas can start in the slot instead of them having to motion him there like last year, Mac said:
"Now, if we want, he can start off there. We have a lot of options." (HA)

About practicing his FG attempts today, safety Kenny Estes (a former All-State soccer player) said:
"I don't want to jinx anything." (HA)

About how their coaches are praising his workouts and play in practices, LWJ said:
"I'm just trying to have fun." (HA)
