Visalia Times-Delta feature on the Warriors

VTD = Visalia Times-Delta

About the losses UH had on offense, Pat Hill said:
"They lost four all-conference receivers and an all-conference quarterback. So they're still trying to find themselves on offense, like a lot of us do when we have new players." (VTD)

VTD Note: "In fact, this game could be so ugly that Hill might draft a letter at halftime, thanking Jones, who left Hawaii for SMU."

Praising UH's OL and special teams, Hill said:
"They still have a very experienced offensive line and I think their defense and special teams are very solid." (VTD)

Praising the Warriors, Fresno State WR Chastin West said:
"Coming in as a 1-3 team doesn't mean anything. They're a very athletic team. Really they just had some turnovers in some close games that hurt them. They're an extremely good team." (VTD)

About how their offense is on a roll now, West said:
"I don't really know what it is, we just turned on that switch. And I wish we had been able to turn it on in that first half in the Wisconsin game." (VTD)

About how their D needs to play better, LB Ben Jacobs said:
"We know that what we've been doing hasn't been up to our standards." (VTD)

About how the Warriors will be a challenge for them, Hill said:
"They'll be a big challenge for us. We don't need to make a statement. We just need to win." (VTD)
