The Pac-10 might not have an eligible team for the Hawaii Bowl!
About how they might not have 6 bowl-eligible teams, where their 6th choice goes to the Hawaii Bowl, Pac-10 associate commissioner Jim Muldoon said:
"That absolutely could happen the way our teams are beating each other (up)." (HA)
Note: If USC makes the BCS title game, then the Hawaii Bowl would get the 7th team from the Pac-10, and it is unlikely that there will be 7 bowl-eligible teams in the Pac-10.
HSB Note: "The WAC reached an agreement with the San Diego County Union Poinsettia Bowl to send a team to the game if the Pac-10 doesn't have enough bowl-eligible teams to fill its spot, the league announced yesterday. The Poinsettia Bowl's primary agreement calls for the seventh-team from the Pac-10 to play the second selection from the Mountain West Conference."
