LWJ returned to practice, will play vs. Oregon State

After practicing for the first time this week, LWJ joked about his sore arches:
"I'm flat-footed as it is." (HA)

HA Note: "The general team policy is that a player needs to practice on Wednesday or Thursday — the most grueling workouts of the week — to start on Saturday. The rule probably was flexible for Wright-Jackson, who is the Warriors' leading rusher with 67 yards in two games."

HA Note: "Despite apparently modest statistics, Wright-Jackson has been impressive in what counts most: tough running. The 6-foot-1, 215-pound junior leads the Warriors with a post-catch average of 11.2 yards. He averages 0.75 broken tackles per rush."

About his success so far, LWJ said:
"I'm just doing what the team is asking. I'm just trying to get penetration in the defense." (HA)

About how he appeared to get his injury when he was hit 2 steps after he went out of bounds against Weber State, LWJ was asked if he thought he was hit late (no penalty was called) and said:
"Yeah, but it's football. Whatever. It was late. I was clearly out of bounds." (HA)

About facing Oregon State (who he said offered him a scholarship when he was in high school), LWJ said:
"It's just another game for me." (HA)
