Note: According to the HA, Inoke would be the #1 QB if Tyler is out with injury. Alexander and Rausch will receive extensive work and Rolo says they are "even" on the depth chart now. Rolo also said that freshman QB Shane Austin has been impressive on the scout team and he expects Austin to be a "contributor" during his career.

About how the bye week comes at a perfect time to help them get healthy, Mack said:
"Hits are like car crashes and we've had a lot of hard hits. This bye is coming at a perfect time for us. We've got to get healthy and work on correcting things." (HSB)

HA Note: "Laupepa Letuli, the No. 1 left tackle, did not make the trip as he continues to rehabilitate a slight tear in his left shoulder. Letuli's absence led to AhSoon moving from left guard to left tackle. Videos of the game show that AhSoon suffered his injury when he was inadvertently leg-whipped by an OSU linebacker. Running back Jake Heun (herniated disc) and defensive tackle Rocky Savaiigaea (sprained triceps) are expected to be available for the San Jose State game. They suffered their injuries early in training camp."
