Jason Rivers started at the East West Shrine Game

Jason Rivers said that playing in the East West Shrine was a:
"good experience" (HA)

About catching a pass on the game's first play from scrimmage, Rivers (who finished with 3 catches for 16 yards) said:
"I didn't know if it would go to me. Like any all-star game, it was a little slower for a receiver. We really didn't put the ball in the air too much." (HA)

Rivers will go to Colorado today to train for the combine, hoping to reduce his 40 yard time. At UH he ran it in 4.45 seconds, agent Leo Goeas wants Rivers in the low 4.4s, but Rivers said that his goal is:
"I want to really run it in 4.3. That's my goal. I'm going to do my best to do that." (HA)
