Quotes from Georgia's practice
About their 2-hour practice on Monday, Georgia coach Mark Richt said:
“Everyone was in a good mood, and it’s fun when the players are having fun. The fundamentals looked good, we got a lot of work in with our 11-on-11, and everyone was enjoying it. Now, we have to keep it up the rest of the week.” (GeorgiaDogs.com)
GD Note: "Georgia will go in full pads Tuesday before scaling back the remainder of the week. When talk turned to Hawaii (Georgia’s Sugar Bowl opponent), Richt said the Bulldogs will have to be able to tackle well in the open field, force turnovers and do a good job of rotating in personnel to keep everyone fresh."
About UH's WRs, Richt said:
“Hawaii’s receivers have great hands, they’re physical, they know what to do and they do it well. It doesn’t bother them to take shots from linebackers and safeties.” (GD)
GD Note: "Richt added that Hawaii is a very tough-minded team that doesn’t quit and they don’t panic if they fall behind."
