Georgia quotes from the night of 12/26

About how the WAC lost their first 2 bowl games, Hercules Satele said:
"That just gives us more motivation. We've seen the Boise game. Some of us were at the game and were rooting for them, but they came up a little bit short. That gives us motivation to represent our conference even more to show everyone the WAC conference is strong. Boise showed it last year." (ABH)

About how they didn't practice today (Georgia practiced for 2 hours), JJ said:
"That's the problem with flying East. You lose a day. We're lucky. Normally when we get to this time zone to play Louisiana Tech, we leave Wednesday at about 4 in the afternoon and wet get to Louisiana Tech at about 11 in the morning and then we have to go bed and get up to play a football game. At least we have about five or six days to get accustomed to the time change." (ABH)

After their first day in Louisiana, Hercules was asked about the food and said:
"For dinner we just had some gumbo and I'm trying to get a little jambalaya in there. The food is amazing over here." (ABH)

After their 2-hour practice in the Superdome, Richt said:
“It is definitely a highlight for us to be here in the Sugar Bowl and in the Superdome. When you play here, you know you’re in a significant game. It was good to get our first practice in, and it’s great we’re going to practice here all week. It gets the sense of awe out of the way, so we’ll be ready to play some ball on the first (of January).” (Georgiadogs.com)

About how facing UH gives them a chance to make a lot of big plays in the secondary, safety Kelin Johnson said:
“It will be challenge for us, especially in the secondary. There will be a lot of chances to make plays and the crowd loves big hits, interceptions and big plays. Hawai’i throws and catches extremely well, like Troy. They’re receivers caught everything and Hawai’i’s receivers have done that all year too.” (Georgiadogs.com)
