About how he and Chase Daniel knew that they weren't going to be announced as the Heisman winner, Colt said:
"It was funny because as the night progressed, me and Chase Daniels, we have a great relationship. We're sitting there going, I think I already know who's going to win this. Because the guy would come out and kind of prep you, and they'd tell you OK if you win, and when they talked to us they'd only talk to Tim. And then right at the announcement they would have all the camera's come down and focus on Tim. So we were like, oh he's going to win it." (Warriors' Ha'a)
