Travis LaBoy leads the Titans in sacks!
About leading the Titans in sacks with 2 (in just 3 games), Travis said:
"I am feeling good. Hopefully I can keep it up.'' (Tennesean)
Tenn Note: "If LaBoy maintains his current pace he'll finish with double-digit sacks for the first time in his career. His previous high was 6.5 in 2005. LaBoy dropped from 275 pounds to 260 for this season and said he feels faster. He's playing on the left side — opposite Vanden Bosch — after playing on the right side last season. But perhaps the biggest reason for his success is he's fresher."
About how Travis is more effective now that he gets just 30 snaps per game now instead of the 60-70 he got last season, defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz said:
"He's fresh now. He can come in and give you a changeup to the guy that you're seeing. Offensive linemen get in grooves. It's like wrestling a lot of times — they start feeling their opponent. Then all of the sudden there is a different guy in there.
It's why in baseball relievers can be so effective. For seven innings you face this guy, then all the sudden another guy is in and he's throwing different and by the time you've adjusted to it, he's out of the game.'' (Tennesean)
