About his commitment to UH, McKinley High's 6'5" 190 pound WR Earvin Sione said:

Not worried if he's at WR or QB, Sione said:
"It doesn't matter where I play, as long as I'm playing for U of H." (HA)

"He's the most coachable kid I ever had." (HA)
About Sione's skills as a WR, Grey said:
"He's got great footwork,. He runs routes exactly the way they should be run. He understands leverage. He's a coach's dream when it comes to having a kid like that." (HA)
About moving Sione to QB this season, Grey said:
"Unless you're a deep team like Kahuku, you usually put your best athlete at quarterback, and then surround him, and try to go from there. He's our best athlete." (HA)
About moving to QB, Sione said:
"I wanted to lead our offense." (HA)
About being a long time fan of UH, Sione said:

About Sione's speed, which was timed at 4.5 seconds in the 40-yard dash this summer, Grey said:
"On the field, at his top speed, I don't think anybody can catch him. And he's still growing into his body. You know he'll gain some weight." (HA)
About how Sione takes care of the Academic side too, Grey said:
"He's a good kid. He really takes care of it in the classroom. He's a good person. He has good family values. He was raised right." (HA)
