Colt says he will play vs. SJSU

About how he'll go for it this week because they have a bye next week, Colt said:
"I'll be going all out this week. I've got nothing to lose." (HA)

"I definitely think I could've pushed it and played on it in the second half. But I think the way the game played out it was better to rest it. We have a bye week after San Jose State, so it's kind of like this week is all or nothing." (HSB)

"I'll be ready, there's no doubt about that. (Utah State) played tough. Coach (June) Jones felt these guys would rise up. These teams come in with nothing to lose and they play pretty well. But what matters is we controlled the game by the third or fourth quarter and were up by a comfortable margin and got a good victory." (HSB)

About how his right ankle injury was aggravated during the 2nd quarter vs. Utah State, Colt said:
"My ankle got caught when I got hit (while throwing a pass). My ankle was planted. I strained that exact same part of the sprained ankle." (HA)

About how they needed to retape his ankle after the first drive of the 2nd half, Colt said:
"I had this throbbing pain because my ankle was swelling up, but the brace and the tape were compressing it. It made it extremely uncomfortable and achy. It didn't leave any room for my ankle to breathe. When I got it retaped, it was sore, but the throbbing pain went away." (HA)

About how his right ankle really swelled up after the game, Colt said:
"Even the trainer thought it would be really bad in the morning." (HA)

But when he woke up yesterday morning, the swelling on the ankle had subsided.
About how the swelling on his ankle had gone down when he woke up Sunday morning, Colt said:
"When I went to get treatment, they were like, 'I can't believe how much the swelling went down. What did you do?' I don't know, but for some reason, the swelling went down." (HA)

About how he will practice today, a normal rest day for the team but a practice day this week due to the game being on Friday, Colt said:
"I felt like I had my rhythm and momentum back as far as throwing the ball," Brennan said. "I felt I was out in front most of the time, and I was throwing good balls. I don't want to lose that rhythm. I'll practice every day." (HA)

About how he's been recovering quicker when he right ankle injury has been aggravated lately, Colt said:
"I've had some bad luck in practice. I've had cases where I've gotten leg-whipped. I got stepped on really badly. Another time a running back got blown back into my ankle. I mean, it swells up. The good news is that even though it got hit and it was really bad because it was on the same spot, it's been easier to bounce back from." (HA)
