Quotes about the UNC game

About playing against UH's D, QB Dominic Breazeale said:
"We run a lot of different offenses. I've learned a lot of different checks. I think we'll get to trying a little bit of everything. The challenge (going against UH's defense) is mostly their speed on the field and they're very physical. The biggest challenge is to match up with their speed." (HSB)

About how they respect UNC, especially with their 300-pound average OL, Lafaele said:
"They look like big, tough guys. I know it will be a tough game for us. Their front line is a bunch of big guys." (HSB)

About how UNC might not want to kick to Bess and Rivers after awhile, JJ said:
"Once they see those guys run the ball, I think they'll say, 'We're not going to kick it to them again.' " (HSB)

Concerned that UNC coach Scott Downing was a special teams expert who coordinated Nebraska's kicking game, JJ said:
"You're never really ready for onside kicks, pooch kicks and reverses. You can prepare all you want, but you have to have poise to deal with it in the game." (HSB)

About their defense's job vs. UH, Downing said:
"We have to make Hawaii earn everything. We can't let them go down the field in huge chunks and we have to make open field tackles. We want to live to play another down." (HSB)

Looking forward to going against something other than UH's defense, Colt said:
"We're just dying to go see a new defense. (The UH) defense has gotten to work on us every day and they've gotten smarter, so now we're just dying to see a defense that doesn't get to see us every day." (HSB)
